TIMERS & SWITCHES This video has been shared a lot TIMERS & SWITCHES
This video has been shared a lot the past few weeks to highlight the reality that it often takes multiple pistol shots to stop an attacker.

We wanted to share it also to mention a related topic, i.e. timers and switches.

Army Ranger, Dave Steinbach (@stonybrook73), makes it a point to discuss this in his classes.

It isn't necessarily the number of shots, but shot placement. Generally speaking, if one hits a switch, for example one's brain stem, it's 'lights out'. If one hits a timer, let's say one's stomach, one can stay in the fight--granted, there are shorter and longer timers.

As always, take as many shots as needed to neutralize a threat.

MULTIPLE OPPONENTS A couple of weeks ago, we talke MULTIPLE OPPONENTS
A couple of weeks ago, we talked about how it is common for people to train against single threats. It is uncommon to consider training to defend yourself against multiple opponents.

There are groups of people who do prepare themselves for multiple attackers, but we believe more time should be spent on doing so.

It's happening more and more these days--more than one 'bad guy' is involved.

Take this recent video from San Francisco, where a 67-year old man was robbed. At his age, unarmed, and caught by surprise by multiple people, perhaps there was nothing he could do.

But consider dealing with multiple opponents more in your training.

LONG-RANGE SHOOTING Shooting targets at distance w LONG-RANGE SHOOTING
Shooting targets at distance with a precision rifle is a different ball game from shooting a standard AR at near to mid-range distances.

If you've been wanting to learn how to shoot long-range or want to improve your precision rifle game,
check out our class calendar for our next precision rifle classes by visiting our website under "Training" then "In-Person" training.

YOUR PROPERTY OR YOUR LIFE? We've mentioned in the YOUR PROPERTY OR YOUR LIFE?
We've mentioned in the past, generally speaking, it's a good idea to give your property away when confronted rather than risk your life for your property.

Here, the man being robbed makes a smart move by throwing his wallet at the criminal, i.e. giving the criminal what he wants...

But we've also mentioned, sometimes criminals want more...

In this video from Nashville, it was reported by the male victim that the armed robber tried firing his gun, but it malfunctioned.

We never really know how things will turn...

Stay safe.
