At Tactical Hyve, we want to connect you with some of the country's most elite tactical experts and give you an inside look at what it's like training with them.
I will be traveling across the nation training with our subject matter experts and other respected instructors. From militaristic training in full kit to civilian concealed carry techniques to hand-to-hand fighting, we'll be filming everything and sharing the experience with you!
My training sessions typically last an entire day. Because of this, we can show only highlights instead of complete video lessons.
It's difficult condensing 8 to 9 hours of training into a 20-25 minute video, so we'll do our best to include material that we feel is important and/or different.
Every instructor I train with will have slightly different ways of doing things, but you'll notice that despite these differences, the principles are the same.
Introduction to “The Journey”
Before watching Episode #1, watch the short video introduction to the series below.
Watch Episode #1
In Episode #1, I train with retired Navy SEAL Mark T. “Coch” Cochiolo, where we start from the very beginning by reviewing the basics of combat pistol.
In addition to being involved in numerous combat deployments, Coch has extensive training experience, having been entrusted to train more than 3000 Navy SEAL candidates.
Episode #1 is ideal for beginners or anyone who is curious to learn how Coch teaches the basics of pistol marksmanship. (I definitely picked up a few good details I haven't learned elsewhere.)

We'd Love Your Feedback!
We hope you find the video entertaining and educational.
Episode #1 was our first go, and we had a tough time thinking about what to include in our first video because so much material was covered! Since filming Episode #1, we've improved how we film sessions to give you a better feel of what it's like to really be there.
However, we want to make sure you get a lot of value out of “The Journey.”
To do this, we want to know what you want to see more of or what to avoid.
- Do you want to see more direct instruction from experts or more over the shoulder footage?
- Do you want more basics or more intermediate/advanced topics?
- Do you want to hear more about my thoughts on what I've been taught?
- Etc. Etc. Etc.
Please leave your feedback in the comments section below, and we'll make sure to take everything into consideration in future episodes.
