In Episode #6 of “The Journey,” I train again with Subject Matter Expert, retired Navy SEAL, Mark “Coch” Cochiolo.
Coch has over 30 years of Naval Special Warfare experience ranging from Special Warfare Operator, Operational Tester, Combat developer, Officer In Charge, Training Officer and Weapons Instructor.
He spent eight years as an assaulter and breacher on the US Navy’s tier one counter-terrorist unit making operational and combat deployments to hotspots in Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
Watch Episode #6
In Episode #6 of “The Journey”, I continue where I left of training with Coch.
This time, we work with the carbine from various distances, up to 200 yards, and shooting from varying positions: prone, kneeling and standing.
We also spend some time shooting from behind cover and barricades.
I picked up some really great details from this training session, particularly the kneeling position/technique that Coch shares. I found my shooting platform to be extremely stable using the position he covered. You should definitely try it out yourself!
Episode #6 is ideal for people who have some experience shooting a carbine and those who are curious to know how Coch approaches shooting with a carbine from various positions and behind cover.
Episode #6 is a logical progression from Coch’s intro to the carbine in Episode #2.
