Tactical Hyve 2019 Wrap-Up

Last Update:

Two Navy SEALs, an Army Ranger, two professional firearms instructors, and a tactical enthusiast talk about highly debated topics in the firearms industry.

It’s been an amazing eight months at Tactical Hyve, and we’re looking forward to more in 2020.

To wrap up the year, we’ve created a special video for you with Tactical Hyve founder, Myles, and Subject Matter Experts:

In the past eight months, Myles has trained with 42 well-respected tactical experts, during which, he’s been able to learn about their preferences on widely debated topics, techniques, and tactics.⁣

We’ve noted the major differences but also the commonalities among all experts.⁣

In our 2019 wrap-up, we will share what we’ve learned with the community. We’ll also announce what we have in store for “The Journey” video series, and how the website will evolve into something bigger in 2020.⁣

There are many highly debated topics in the industry. We had a lot of trouble picking only 10 topics out of 37, but decided on the following points:

  • Sport shooting versus combat shooting
  • Iron sights versus optics
  • Trigger control
  • Moving backward
  • The proper grip
  • Shooting and moving
  • Scanning and assessing
  • What’s more important, grip or trigger press?
  • High-ready versus low-ready
  • Front sight focus versus hard target focus

You’ll hear what the majority of instructors feel and prefer about the topics above, as well as get direct feedback from some of our subject matter experts.

It’s interesting to note how these topics are highly debated on the Internet, yet, our Subject Matter Experts are surprised that people have such strong opinions because they believe there are many ways to achieve the same effective results.

In fact, most of the experts Myles trained with in 2019 feel the same way, i.e. they feel there is a lot of unnecessary debate over various topics, but they entertain discussion about them because many enthusiasts are so interested.

What’s your take?

We hope you enjoyed the wrap-up and are as excited as we are about what’s in store for the community in 2020. Have an amazing New Year’s celebration and see you again next year!

But wait, before you go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on our discussion! What do you agree or disagree with?
