In this video, former Army Ranger Dave Steinbach teaches how to properly handle a corner or barricade using a single-man technique. Watch as Dave demonstrates how to correctly position yourself behind cover to then maneuver effectively around it to confront the threat. Once out of cover and facing your target, you should then IDENTIFY the target, ACQUIRE the target, ENGAGE, and then REASSESS the situation for other threats. In this training exercise, Dave is performing the drill at night, but it can be conducted during the day as well.
Firstly thank you Ranger Dave for your service and the valuable training resources you provide to others! Your tips make great sense and get straight to the point.
I am a southpaw that has been shooting since 6 years old. 99% of the Firearms I’ve shot are right-handed. When it comes to certain drills and Tactical approaches, do lefties just need to learn to adapt to a right-handed method or would you advise that we figure out our own method? At the age of 43 now, I typically just have to deal with the inefficiencies of right-handed weapons. I can shoot right handed to an extent.
Again thank you so much for everything you do.
